In Te Ngahere, for the last couple of weeks we have been
learning new things about our chromebooks. We have been
learning some new shortcuts on our chromebook, I have learnt
how to find all the shortcuts you have to push ctrl alt /  this
shortcut is very useful. We also have to make a poster about
one of our top tip for new chromebook users. Here is a slideshow
of the new things I have learnt about my chromebook and my
top tip.

The time I made nachos

The time I made nachos

last week in Te Ngahere we went to technology, at technology
last week we got to make nachos. My goal was to put lots and
lots of colours in the nachos so it would look pretty. There were
lots of steps to making the Nachos. We also made apple
enchiladas they were so nice. The nachos were made out
of mince, capsicuim, corn, zucchini, onions, beans, cheese,
corn chips, whole peeled tomatoes, tomatoes, tomato paste,
sugar, beef stock and water. My buddy and I did good at
helping each other. Next time we go I should focus on adding
some new vegetables to my food. On the way to technology
and back, we got a ride on some awesome buses they were very
comfortable.

Basic facts

   Basic facts

In Te Ngahere we have been practicing our basic facts and we
have been practising them nearly every day. Basic Facts is
something we have to do so it helps us with our maths and
problem solving. I was done all my basic facts last year, Later
this week I will be starting on my division. The hardest
basic facts would be my 7s and 12s. Here is a photo of the
division I will be practising.

Turbo Touch

   The Tournament      

The last couple of weeks our teacher has organised a awesome
tournament. There were eight teams in the class tournament.
There names were Seagulls, The Tockers, Champions, Crazy
horses and The Siggers. Our team was called the Tockers there
were a total of 7 people in our team their names were Anyah,
Chum, Dale, Rymon, Nevaeh and Lily. The game we were playing
was named Turbo Touch it was a very cool tournament. Our group
won the tournament. Our group did well at communicating with
each other. It was easy throwing the ball to each other, It was
hard running up and down the field ready to catch the ball. I
need to work on my defence.

Last week we went to technology at Moerewa school. At Moerewa
school we made frittatas it was fun to make and very nice. It was a
little difficult to make them because there were lots of steps.
I did good at cutting the ingredients. With our frittatas we also
had to put lots of colour in it so I put in extra vegetables like
capsicum and spinach. We also added eggs, ham, carrots,
potatoes, kumara, flour,salt and pepper.

In Te Ngahere we have started the year with a new game called turbo touch. Here is a link to information about how to play. Here is a link to video to understand it. Our group did well at communicating with each other. It was easy throwing the ball to each other, It was hard running up and down the field ready to catch the ball. I need to work on my defence.

SLJ Flying Solo

Kia ora, Today for summer learning journey I have been
Learning about Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart. Learning
about them was very interesting and fun to learn about.
For This activity I also had to write down the similarities
and differences between them.
