Camp

In Te Maunga we went to a camp on November the 27th morning. I was so excited because  we were going to Coopers Beach Youth Camp. There were heaps of things like the water slide, confidence course, slippery hockey and volleyball. There were also trampolines and a court with hoops. My favourite was the water slide because you can go super fast and have competitions with your friends. You could also get exercise from running up the hill. We also made a creation about our camp I made a pop up book with Anyah and Indie. Here is a video.

My learning goals

My learning goals

In The Maunga we have been setting our learning goals for term 3 like  Writing, Reading, Maths and our personal goal.  We have also been trying really hard to achieve our goals so we can get 100 class craft point's. If you're wondering what class craft is it is a fun game for your class. Also  I think I did really good at adding some detail. I  also could do better at remembering my goals so I don’t need  to look back at my goal setting sheet

persuasive Writing

In Te Maunga we have been learning how to write a persuasive  Writing we have to converse our principal to buy us a sit called Maths  hub and we had to write to her and I think I did well in my story and here is my story.
Why We Need Maths Hub

Dear Mrs Lindsay

I believe we should have Maths hub website because it helps our learning It also helps us achieve our goal and it also saves time.

Firstly It helps our learning because you can go to your Chromebook or iPad and start learning on the web site and It will also be a awesome site because it is easy to you’s.

Secondly it will help us achieve our goal faster and it also has things you can do for you to achieve your goal. It is also good for our whole school and if we had maths hub our school won’t need to worry about maths because Maths hud has done it .

Thirdly it saves time for the teachers and don’t you want your teachers to have time to do other things we also don’t have to sit on the mat and wait for the teacher to tell us something we can just go somewhere else and do our work.

We all think that we should all have the site because it is good for our learning and other things like homework.

witting about treaty grounds

In Te Maunga we have been learning how to write a recount. in the recount you have to write it about the treaty  grounds or family day and i chose the treaty grounds because my mum works there if you want to find out more check out story.

STORY

Yay!! The day has finally come we get to go to the treaty and my mum is teaching us how to plant. But first we have to go line up and get ready to go as we were lining up Whaea Becks yelled at us be quiet and be sensible as we go and line up with Te Moana and Te Ngahere.

As Te Ngahere led the way with Te Moana we followed behind them as we were walking to treaty grounds i could hear the crackling sounds under my shoes as i was walking to the treaty.

Then we finally reached our destination and i was looking for my mum as they were talking and i finally saw her i was happy and then we got into groups 1 2 and 3 we were with my mum first i was exted and then we had to get into groups of 2 and me and my best friend was together and did a excellent job.

Then we played  maui and matu it really fun but it was really nerve racking when you had to play the real game but then i completed it and then we moved to the stick game and it was fun.

After we did that we moved on to the Blind folde game  and It was Mihi vs Isaiah s and it was scary because i couldn’t do anything because i couldn’t see and then ventrally Isaiah tagged me the I had to chose someone else for the next round and I chose my best friend. Then she VS Rikki-Dean and my friend won.
Then we reached our activity which we planted trees and we learnt different things about trees and then we had to get into groups of two but i went into groups of three so then we had to go into the  Bush and it was cool.

Then we had to leave but I didn’t need to leave with the school i went with my mum to go home it was awesome at the treaty grounds.

Tryathlon

At Paihia-school we did our own school tryathlon. after we finshed we write a recout about it and this is my story.
On friday last week we did a school Tryathlon at the beach in paihia with paihia school. First Mrs Williams talked to us about what we're going to do and how do you do it.

Second the seniors walked down to the beach and we got ready to go swimming, running and biking. The year 8,7,6 went first and we had to wait for a while.

After them it was my years turn there were only three of as that were swimming the rest of them were waiting  for us to finish i was coming first but then lili-rose Zoomed pass me .
Then we ran i thought it wasn't fear for the swimmers because the other kids in my year they didn't need to swim.

But then I ran out of the ocean and I ran with my friend Tia. But then she dashed past me. I was coming last until I saw a boy that was in the girls race and I zoomed past him. Then I was up to the bike ride. But it wasn't fear because I was in a team but I didn't know if we were allowed so I ran. And I ran little bit with my little brother.

In the end we celebrated with ice-cream we had know idea that we could have ice-cream. That was fun I said to myself quietly because I felt like the wind
