Traditional poupou art

In Te Ngahere we have been learning to draw poupou. Poupou is something that is put up in peoples maraes or houses. Usually poupou represents someone or something. When we started drawing our poupou art we needed a pencil, paper, pastels and a ruler to make it smooth. Before we got to our good copy which was on an A3 piece of paper. When we sketched our Poupou art we had to practise designs on a seperate piece of paper then sketched those onto our Poupou. We also had to outline our drawing in vivid. lastly we had to practise our blending skills then we had to put that on our poupou art. This art is really cool and fun. I did good job at focusing on my art and not social talking. I could work on a bolder body and more patterns. Have you ever tried Poupou art before?

How to convert fractions into percentages and decimals

In Te Ngahere we have been learning to turn fractions into decimals and percentages. This was really hard but I got out of the pit. After we learnt how to convert fractions into percentages and decimal we had to teach others so we made a DLO (Digital Learning Object). I did well at the multiplying bits of this activity. I could work on multiplying big numbers like 25x400. Did you like my DLO?

Trick Shot

In Te Ngahere we have been doing trick shots every week.
This week we had to make a domino effect using everyday materials. Before we started our trickshot and our domino effect we had to plan what it was going to look like. In my group there was Anyah, Dezray and Rymon. Our plan was simple we had a ping pong ball with the ping pong ball someone would throw the ball on a diagonal surface that bounces to another surface into a funnel that leads into a tunnel where the ball rolls through the tunnel hits the blocks that makes a domino effect. Here is a slide show where the video is and what I could work on and what I could do next time.

Fun Art Sunrise Tree

In Te Ngahere we have been doing some art called sunrise tree. They look amazing and they were fun to make. When we did our art we had to blend the pastels to make them more effective. When doing this type of art it can be really messy and it goes everywhere. I did a good job at creating an effective sunset. I could do better by working on the tree. Here is a slideshow on how to make one.

Beginners Guide On How To Find The Area Of A Shape

During lockdown level 3 my household has been very interesting especially the homework situation, every day at 9:30am our class has a hangout with our teachers where they talk about what we will be doing for the day. We also have another hangout at 2:00pm where we talk about what we did and what your favourite thing you did for the day. We also have been doing some maths. The type of math that we are doing is called perimeter and area. When we learn how to do perimeter and area we have to make an digital learning object. In the digital learning object we teach other people how to do it. I did good at screencastify, I could of had better examples. What do you think about my DLO (digital learning object)?

Check Out This Great Artwork

In Te Ngahere we have been doing some great things during
lockdown. One of my favourite things we have done so far is the
self portraits. We made our self portraits using  our chromebooks.
First we had to take a photo of our self, then we had to click onto
the line image in the toolbar and scroll to scribble, then we
carefully trace our photo. I could of had a better picture of myself
to trace around. I did good at tracing around the photo. I am most
proud of the hair. What do you think about my self portraits?
