Marble run

In Te Ngahere we have been doing some science, for science we had to make a marble run and stop it exactly at 110cm. At first it was really hard because we had no Idea what to do. Then we had more practices and it got easier and easier and we got better results It got easier because we had more practices. I learnt that I should not change heaps of variables at once. I think I did well at getting close to the mark.

Tai Tokerau

In Te Ngahere some of us students got a great opportunity to go to the Tai Tokerau festival. There were 7 students and 3 adults that came. The festival was amazing, they were loud and they had great facials. My favourite was all of them. I can only remember that Tikipunga and Opononi Area School performed. There were more but I can not remember them. I learnt what discipline looks like.

ukulele

Yesterday,  a band of ukulele players came to Paihia School to show us their talent. They were awesome at it,
The songs they played that I could remember are Bootstraps, Peas and Carrots and Congratulations.
My favourite was Bootstraps. One thing I didn't like was when we had to stand up and do that funny dance.

Maths DLO

In Te Ngahere we have been learning doubling and halving and tripling, thirding. After we learnt it we made
a maths DLO so we can show what we have been doing and learning we also do DLO’s so we can show
how we do that strategy.

Technoldgy

In Te Ngahere the year 7 and 8’s went to Moerewa school for technology. The year 8’s   were cooking with Whaea Dot and the year 7’s were doing wood work with Mr E. The year 7’s  were learning the rules around the workshop and the power tools that we can use. I made a dolphin. I painted on both sides with different designs. I enjoyed painting the dolphin. I need  to get better at tracing around my design. I hope I can make some more cool stuff in the future.

be kind project

In Te Ngahere we were learning about how to be kind to others and ourselves. We showed kindness to others by smiling and waving to people at our school. We also made things like bookmarks and writing quotes on the court, we wrote quotes like how to be kind and what kindness looks like. I really liked doing this I hope we can do this again in the future.
